The purpose of this survey is for Bristol Energy Network (BEN) to understand local energy needs and opinions in your local area (within the West of England Combined Authority of Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and Bath and North East Somerset). BEN is a membership organisation that supports communities and individuals to engage with affordable and green energy projects in their local area. The results of this survey will be anonymised and used to demonstrate attitudes towards community energy in the region. Anonymised results will be published and shared with BEN’s partners. It is possible that the anonymised results of this survey will be used to feed into community energy planning applications in the future, however in the case that any specific project is considered in your local area, a formal public consultation will be undertaken to fully describe any project that has been developed and request opinions to demonstrate explicit approval.
