RESPONSES ARE REQUIRED SO PLEASE USE "N/A" WHEN NEEDED
The Pulitzer Center offers fellowships to students at Campus Consortium partners to pursue international reporting projects - and we do welcome proposals for U.S.-based projects on global issues!
Students have the choice of postponing their reporting until it becomes safe to travel OR developing a proposal for a project that they could do remotely or from home (with limited travel in the nearby community).
Pulitzer Center staff and journalists advise the student throughout the process. Final projects are featured on the Pulitzer Center website and in other news-media outlets (among them, NPR's Goats and Soda, Foreign Affairs, The Washington Post, Global Health Now, Huff Post, News Deeply, Nautilus, and The Atlantic). Students are encouraged to produce work in various media: articles, video, and photo essays.
The Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellowship is accepting proposals that can be told within the local community due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. We also are asking students to purchase refundable tickets for travel to all other locations because we cannot predict what the situation will be in the weeks and months ahead.
If a travel ban were to take effect, we would discuss various options with our reporting fellows such as postponing travel or changing the focus and destination of their reporting.
