2024 Survey of Apprenticeships in the Science Sector
Thank you for participating in the Science Industry Partnership's (SIP) Apprenticeship Survey 2024.
This is the fourth edition of our bi-annual review of apprenticeship usage across the UK science sector. Your response to this 10-minute survey will contribute significantly to our understanding, including the evolving impact of the Apprenticeship Levy system and what employers would like to see to improve their apprenticeship uptake. Crucially, the data obtained from this survey is not available elsewhere. It is therefore vital that we collect as many responses as possible to get an accurate overview of company experiences as we continue to champion the issues that matter most to science employers.
To complete the survey, you will need the following information to hand:
Basic details about your organisation (in the UK only) - e.g., size and sector
Details of your organisation’s usage of the Apprenticeship Levy (if applicable)
Information about the number of apprentices currently being trained
Insights into your satisfaction with the apprenticeship system, including any barriers you face and any potential changes you desire
Please note:
The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Some questions may require collaboration with colleagues from other departments or sites.
Only one response per organisation is required.
Financial data on the Apprenticeship Levy (if applicable) refers to the most recent 12 months of payroll.
The survey results will be published later this year; however, the report will only contain aggregated information and not individual responses from specific companies. Any information/data shared within this survey will not be made available elsewhere. View our privacy policy here.
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Carl Bramwell, Research Manager at Cogent Skills, at carl.bramwell@cogentskills.com.
