The staff of the Wisconsin Arts Board and Wisconsin Humanities are coming to the Appleton area to host an informal brown-bag lunch meeting. We hope you can join us to learn more about our organizations and tell us more about what is happening in your region.

Thanks to the Building for Kids (100 West College Avenue, Appleton) for hosting this special get-together! We invite you to join us on Monday, September 23rd from 11:30am – 1pm. Feel free to bring your lunch.

We’ll meet in the classroom space on the 2nd floor of the Building For Kids (use the main entrance on the corner of College Ave and Appleton St.). Although the Building is closed that day, the main entrance will be open.

Whether you’re entirely new to our two state level agencies and our work, or you’ve known us for years, we look forward to seeing you!

WAB and WH staff will share:
  • a quick retrospective of our work with Wisconsin’s arts and humanities groups, artists, scholars, educators and community leaders in the past;
  • an update on our programs and opportunities available these days; and
  • ways you can be involved

What we look forward to hearing from you:
  • your perspective on what’s happening with the arts, humanities, culture and creativity in the Appleton area - including the story of your own work there;
  • your knowledge of the regional resources and networks that are available now, or those you want to see in the future to strengthen your own work and that of others in the Appleton area; and
  • your sense of what people in Appleton are concerned about, excited about, and your ideas about how our two agencies might be able to support the Appleton community.

Part of our group discussion will focus on how to navigate the changes that some funders of the arts and humanities are making in their funding priorities. We’ll also talk about how to build authentic partnerships and co-creation opportunities with others for new projects/programs in your area.

Please respond asap, and no later than September 16th.
