Trial Membership at Tyrol Ski and Mountain Club

Thank you for your interest in a Tyrol Ski and Mountain Club membership. This application is for Trial Member Membership for either an individual or a Family.  A Family Membership consists of more than one adult member with or without dependants or a single adult member with dependants.  Dependent children who are between the ages of 19 and 25 may also be included as Family Members with their parent(s) at no extra cost.  The Trial Membership will be valid for three months from the date of payment of your invoice for the Trial Membership fee. All members join initially as trial members. NOTE: Trial Membership is available individually or as a family.  If both spouses want full access to the lodge, both may join as a family.  If only one wishes full access, they may join as a single member, and the other spouse may come to the lodge a maximum of three times per year as a guest.  A trial membership is permitted only once per household.

Trial Members have regular mid-week booking privileges at the lodge as follows:
  • You may book non-peak stays anytime (Sun - Thur, Mid-April through Mid-June, Oct. & Nov except holiday weekends)
  • The maximum length of any stay is seven consecutive days. You may book a second consecutive stay within ten days of the final day of your first consecutive stay, subject to availability.  You may book a maximum of two 7-day stays per month.
  • There is no limit to the number of stays you may book.
  • The regular membership rate for room bookings will apply.
  • You may be accompanied by and may book up to 5 additional rooms for your guests, subject to availability.
  • All members, including Trial members, may book peak stays at the lodge up to 2 days before the last day of their stay.  (Fri., Sat., & Holiday Weekends) and may book up to 5 additional rooms for guests, subject only to availability for the member and guest on peak or non-peak days

The Trial Membership fee will be invoiced to you once you have met with the Membership Committee or Director via Zoom.  After the meeting, you may book stays at the lodge once the Trial Membership Fee has been paid.  Payments may be made directly from the invoice.  Do not pay for the trial membership until you have met with the Committee or Membership Director.
  • The Trial Membership rate is ($375 plus GST per adult member).
  • Trial members who become regular mid-week members within the trial period will be deemed to have paid their dues for the current year.  If the Trial Membership period begins after April 1, the dues will be paid for the current and the following year.
  • The purpose of the Trial Membership is simply to provide you with an opportunity to see the Lodge and meet a few members. You will need to meet at least two members who are unrelated to you or each other who will agree to sponsor your application to upgrade to Regular membership should you decide to join.  Sponsors have no legal or financial obligations.
  • You do not need to wait until the Trial period is over to apply to join. Since the Trial Membership Fee covers the Regular Membership dues based on the date you joined as a Trial Member, there is no financial benefit in waiting until the end of the Trial period to join as a Regular member with mid-week privileges.
Please note:
  • Approved applicants may book rooms at Tyrol Lodge and benefit from the prevailing room rate for members and the guest rate for their guests.
  • All members are fully responsible for their guests' actions. They must share all Club rules and procedures, including the code of conduct, booking and cancellation procedure, and lodge rules with their guests.  Members are also responsible for any outstanding charges related to their guests' stay if th
