After participating in this session, participants will be able to:
Identify and Review anesthetic options for intravenous sedation (pharmacology, safety profile, cost).
Identify and Explain the features of a complex patient for intravenous sedation (AW, comorbidities, IV access, anxiety, social habits).
Describe the management of common complications that arise during administration of intravenous sedation (paradoxic agitation, lost IV, bronchospasm, obstruction, desaturation, inadequate depth of sedation, aspiration, decision to convert to GA).
