TIVA and TCI – from fear to fun!

Learning objectives:

After participating in this session, participants will be able to:
  1. Discuss the development and limitations of pharmacokinetic pumps - TCI.
  2. Be comfortable in the practical use of a TCI pump especially in regards to delivering propofol.
  3. Maintaining appropriate levels of anaesthesia using TIVA and precautions to avoid accidental awareness.
