Parent/Alumni/Community Mentorship
IMPACT early college high school is a program which allows students to earn college credit while working simultaneously towards their high school diploma. Our early college high school program differs from dual credit as many of our students graduate with an associates degree by the end of high school.
Our mission is to ensure students are prepared for the future. When applying to four- year schools, our students are expected to know their intended major. By providing an internship, our students will be able to gain insight and experience in their desired areas of study. Internships assist students in declaring a major and/or decide if a certain major is not appropriate for them.
We're looking for individuals in the community who would be willing to provide an internship placement at their place of business. Students will be expected to act in a professional and respectful manner. They are to be punctual and will provide their own transportation. Students will have a log that will need to be signed to ensure their attendance. Please keep in mind that many of our students are still minors. As a result, it will be the mentor's job to ensure their safety. The internship is expected to last roughly 10 weeks. The program is only open to seniors at this time. This is the first time IMPACT will be piloting a internship/mentorship program. Your involvement and feedback is greatly appreciated!
