Feedback on Future Ready Logo and Tagline

The Iowa Department of Education and the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council are embarking on a messaging campaign to encourage young Iowans to seek out education after high school in order to address the growing workforce shortage in our state. The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness of and interest in high demand careers, which are currently experiencing worker shortage. This campaign is part of a larger vision — Future Ready Iowa — which our state aspires to have 70 percent of the state’s workforce obtain education after high school.

We are targeting young Iowans ages 15 – 29 years. With this campaign, we have developed a messaging platform to inspire students to seek information regarding in demand careers in fields such as IT, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, welding and HVAC. Many of these careers can be attained with two years or less of education and/or on-the-job training.
