The Economic Contribution of the Waste Recycling Industry to the Victorian Economy

The Victorian Waste Management Association (VWMA) is the voice of a responsible and world class industry sector contributing substantially to the economic prosperity of Victoria. VWMA must be able to advocate effectively on behalf of the Industry and this survey will enable just that to occur.

This crucial survey represents the first independent assessment of the Industry and will provide a baseline measure of the sizeable economic, employment and revenue contribution that it makes to the Victorian economy and Government. The survey also collects important information that will assist the Association in its work with the insurance sector and lowering costs in this area.

Whilst the survey is being coordinated by the VWMA, it is seeking to capture a snapshot of the entire Victorian sector and as such is open to all waste or resource recovery related businesses to participate. All VWMA members will receive detailed results of the survey with a summary report to be provided to those with the privilege of making decisions that impact on our important Industry.
