* # 1 - A recent study by the Indiana State Department of Agriculture found that the state lost 345,682 acres, or nearly 2%, of farmland between 2010 and 2022. For context, Johnson and Shelby counties lost more than 7,000 acres in the past 10 years. Do you believe Indiana should look at ways to preserve farmland such as agricultural easements or policies to incentivize property owners to keep, or revert, land to agricultural use?

Question Title

* # 2 - Hoosiers with disabilities face higher rates of unemployment than Hoosiers with no disabilities. Those who work often have to turn away raises, bonuses, or overtime due to extremely low resource limits to qualify for Medicaid. Would you support eliminating low resource limits to allow individuals with a disability to earn more money, and in turn, contribute more to our tax base?

Question Title

* # 3 - State and local officials often negotiate economic development deals in which individual companies receive taxpayer dollars in exchange for certain actions, such as locating a facility in a particular place. Some of these deals involve non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), which restrict public officials from discussing the terms of the agreement publicly. Do you believe the state of Indiana should ban the use of NDAs in economic development deals between elected officials and private companies?

* # 5 - Elected officials and public employees who engage in economic development on behalf of state or local government often have travel, food, beverage, and entertainment expenses related to their negotiations with prospective private sector businesses. Not all of these activities are currently required to be publicly disclosed. Should these activities be disclosed to the public similar to the way campaign contributions and registered lobbying activities are reported?

* # 6 - A 2019 study by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health showed that teens who spend more than three hours a day on social media double their risk of depression and anxiety.
