Session Descriptions
Session 1: Meditation for a New Year, New Semester, and New Beginnings:
Come join us for the first session of our mindfulness series to begin a new semester, new year. To form a sacred space to re-imagine the year ahead, and to let go of the challenges, pain, or experiences that have occurred in the past, so you can create anew in this present moment.
Session 2: Meditation for Anxiety:
Anxiety can be debilitating for many of us, making it difficult for us to live our lives. Today’s meditation focuses on looking inward, to anchor ourselves with our anxiety so that it can be seen, acknowledged, and let be so that we can coexist with ease.
Session 3: Meditation for Forgiveness and Perspectives:
College can be a difficult, and overwhelming time-without the weight of a worldwide pandemic. Can you think of a recent time where you lost your temper? Misunderstood a situation? You overreacted? Forgive yourself, and let’s come together to bring our awareness and ask for perspectives as we go about our days.
Session 4: Meditation for Courage:
The intention of today’s meditation is to help you step into your courage. To help you see that you have more of it than you can possibly imagine. And to help you sit in the knowing that you have everything it takes to create the life that you love.
Session 5: Meditation for Calm:
Feeling stress? Overwhelmed? Come and share a moment of lightness, inviting the luminosity of the world to shine, and inviting peace, compassion, and kindness into our being.
Session 6: Meditation to Connect to Our Inner Voice:
In the midst of our daily obligations between school and work, it becomes so easy to disconnect from ourselves. We come together this week to connect, deepen our intimacy with our inner voice. So that we can continue to cultivate a trust in it, and therefore a trust in ourselves, a trust in the voice that will always speak our truth with love.
Session 7: Meditation for Self-Care:
As the spring semester comes to an end and finals approach, let us take some time to create a space to practice and commit to loving ourself in the smallest and biggest ways possible.
