SURVEY RECRUITMENT EMAIL – Ergonomics Administrator of Ergonomics Program
Recruitment Message:
To Whom It May Concern:
Purpose: I (Linda Miller) am a doctoral student from Boston University. I am conducting an online survey to identify the primary reasons LEED APs have not applied for the innovation in design credit for an office ergonomics strategy. The goal is to better understand why individuals are not applying for the credit so that an education and training program can be designed to increase participation in the future.
Requirements: You are invited to participate in this survey if you are 18 years of age or older and manage or support a LEED policy within your organization.
Procedure: Participation in the survey will take approximately 20 minutes.
Confidentiality: All information obtained through this study will be seen only by the investigators. However, the data may be reviewed by institutional officials such as members of the Institutional Review Board at Boston University for the purposes of reviewing study conduct. The information provided will be used for research purposes only. All information will be kept safe in a secure file located in Linda Miller’s office.
Any reports or publications will not identify individual participants by name or initials. Neither your name nor the name of your organization will be associated to a specific response or opinion. The results will be analyzed and reported at the group level.
Benefits: Participating in the study you will contribute to a better understanding of how and why individuals decided to apply for the innovative design credit for ergonomics.
Risks: Participation in the study may cause you to discomfort that you were not aware of the credit or when discussing why the credit was not applied for. Neither your name nor the name of your organization will be associated to a specific response or opinion. The results will be analyzed and reported at the group level.
Questions: If you have any questions regarding the research or your participation in it, either now or any time in the future, please feel free to ask them. If you have any general questions about your rights as a person in a research study, contact the Institutional Review Board (IRB) Charles River Campus, Boston University, Boston, MA at (617) 358-6115. An IRB is a group of people who review studies for ethical and safety issues.
Right to Refuse or Withdraw: Your participation is voluntary and you have the right to withdraw at any time by just exiting the survey. Your responses will then not be included in the final analysis.
Release of Findings: Upon request, a copy of the final report will be sent to participants.
