2023 Board Nominations

To diversify our geographical locations and skills, we are seeking applications from business leaders with an understanding of the role of the Board of a not for profit/association who are willing to use their strategic leadership skills to gently steer the organisation through the last two years of its strategic plan. You do not need to be a member of APA to apply, or even a built environment professional, in fact we feel this separation of the two roles is critical. The most important traits for the Board Members to have are core business and leadership skills, coupled with the willingness to absorb contextual information before making decisions and, understanding that the difference between being a committee member and a board member. Board decisions happen much less frequently as they are tracking change of the organisation overall, committees are implementing actions month to month on a niche topic and key area, the staff are implementing day to day. Passionate members are being encouraged to direct this energy into the working groups (retrofit, standards and building codes, clients and technical) with applications launching 2023, and official participation in 2024- interest can be directed to admin@passivhausassociation.au
