CALL/ACBD Survey on Federation of Library Associations Dear CALL/ACBD members,The Canadian Library Association (CLA) Executive Council has been working with the Future Federation Working Group on the development of a proposal to replace the CLA with a federation consisting of library associations from across the country. The Final Proposal was released on December 18, 2015 and can be found on the CLA website here. Note there is a special meeting of CLA members taking place in Toronto on January 27. CLA members will be voting on a resolution for the dissolution of the Canadian Library Association. This survey of CALL/ACBD members is meant to:- Inform CALL/ACBD members about the vote by CLA members and the proposal by the Future Federation Working Group, and- Initiate a discussion with members about CALL/ACBD's possible involvement with a federation of library associations. This is an informal survey compiled by the CALL/ACBD Executive Board. It is not meant as advice to CLA members with respect to the vote on the resolution for dissolution of the CLA; however, we do encourage members to vote if eligible. This survey will close at 12 midnight ET on Friday, January 29, 2016. Results will be shared with CALL/ACBD members after they are compiled. Thank You for taking the time to complete this survey.Connie CrosyCALL/ACBD President Question Title * 1.
