The purpose of the Women of Under 40 awarded is to recognize and elevate exceptional women from community colleges exceeding expectations. Each year we seek to recognize up to 40 rising stars under 40 years of age who are making a difference for the college that they serve beyond the scope of their primary position. This is an annual recognition of the youngest community college women who are movers, shakers and influences on their college campuses. Nominations will be accepted through May 21, 2021. Previously named AAWCC Under 40 recipients are ineligible for this year’s recognition.
AAWCC will review each nomination. To stand out, please be accurate, brief, and convincing. You can nominate yourself or someone else. The nomination includes:
· Basic demographic information,
· A personal description (not to exceed 300 words) that describes the nominees' accomplishments and impacts,
· A statement of support from a campus senior leader (Vice President and above if possible, this can be brief and shold not exceed 150 words. ),
· A brief supplemental statement of 150 words or less containing relevant community college and/or contextual information that supports the nomination, and
· A head shot of the nominee is required with this nomination.
The 2021 AAWCC Under 40 class will be featured on our website and at our annual AAWCC National Leadership Conference in October, along with other marketing opportunities.
