Biking, Trees & Food for Free!

Sunday, October 20th
1pm-Meet at Miller Park (In Minowa Heights)
1-4pm-Plant Trees along Trout Run Trail
4pm-FREE Meal Provided at the Fish Hatchery
4:30-Bike Home on Your Own (from the Fish Hatchery)

*Space is limited. Brought to you by Decorah Public Library, Upper Explorerland's Safe Routes to School and Winneshiek County Conservation. Trees funded by the Iowa DNR's Tress for Kids project.

-Must be able to bike 3 miles of the hilly Trout Run Trail section (there will be several tree planting/water breaks along the way).
-Must bring their own bike, helmet, closed toe shoes and water bottle (contact abril@uerpc.org if need assistance).
-Should bring their own gardening gloves (if possible).
-Will meet on the Minowa Heights neighborhood side of Miller Park (Twin View Dr. and Bluegrass Dr. intersection).

* 9. Consent and Liability Waiver:

The Tree Planting Bike Ride (TPBR) promotes caring for earth and increasing physical activity and bike safety for children and adults .

The TPBR is intended to reduce the risk of injury. However, there are risks associated with biking, including risk of injury as a result of a motor vehicle crash, a fall, overexertion or carelessness. I understand and agree that by participating in the WSB, I am assuming these risks.

In consideration of my child or ward being allowed to participate in the TPBR, I hereby release from liability and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission, Decorah Public Library, Winneshiek County Conservation, my child or ward's school, and any other community partner, their officers, employees, volunteers and agents from any claim or cause of action arising out of and related to any injury, loss, damages or other liabilities that may occur as a result of my child or ward's participation in the TPBR.

I authorize any official, employee, agent or volunteer of the WSB to consent to emergency medical treatment as necessary for the health and safety of my child or ward. I further agree that no official, employee, agent or volunteer will be held responsible for injuries or damages arising from the provision of any such emergency medical treatment.
