NRG Oncology (NRG) is extending the solicitation for Theranostics Subcommittee membership.

The Subcommittee is a product of collaborative efforts between the Radiation Oncology and Imaging Committees. This subcommittee provides support to the development and conduct of trials that include applications of theranostics. The subcommittee’s goals include:

1) building a more robust theranostics program in NRG Oncology’s research portfolio;
2) serve as a resources for NRG Oncology investigators;
3) collaborate with the Center for Innovation in Radiation Oncology (CIRO) and the Imaging and Radiation Oncology Core (IROC) of the National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN) to help establish the quality assurance standard for clinical trials involving theranostics;
4) engage NRG disease site leaders to form a strategy for theranostics development and incorporation into future NRG oncology clinical trials; and,
5) collaborate with other NCTN cooperative groups for clinical trial participation.

If you wish to apply for membership, the following must be completed and submitted electronically via this application for consideration:
  • The NRG Oncology Committee Membership Application
  • NIH Biosketch (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/forms/biosketch.htm) - not to exceed 4 pages.
  • One page Cover Letter briefly stating the reasons the applicant wishes to join the subcommittee, contributions the applicant expects to make to the group, and a review of relevant past contributions and accomplishments.
Please note incomplete applications will not be considered for membership.
Submission Deadline: November 24, 2024 Midnight ET.

Committee Members are required to:
  • Have an active status on the roster at an active NRG member site. Applicants from non-NRG member sites shall not be considered for a committee position. Committee membership is predicated that the applicant will remain at an active NRG member.
  • Have completed the NRG demographic form by responding to the optional questions or formally opting not to participate. The NRG demographic form can be accessed via the link https://apps.nrgoncology.org/DEISurvey/. The form is a one-time requirement and does not need to be completed again.   • Encourage participation in and promote accrual to NRG studies.
  • Actively participate in committee meetings and on conference calls.
  • Hold meeting materials in confidence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the committee chair in support of the committee.
Failure to comply with above requirements may result in being rotated off of the committee.
