The Wesley Ministry Innovator Internship is an opportunity to grow in community, to experiment boldly, and to learn new ways to follow the Spirit.

Before you start this application:
To qualify, you must live in the continental US and be eligible to work in the US. This opportunity is open to Wesley Theological Seminary students and any young adults who are not currently enrolled in seminary or who have not completed graduate theological studies.
Make sure you have your resume handy, and the names and contact information for two references. We want to see, read, and hear your responses... you will need to submit at least one audio/video response and one written response. The other two can be in either format! Make it easy on yourself. Write or record your responses before starting this application.
Prepare your Essays/Digital Media responses using these prompts:
Please respond to each question. You will use the text box for written essays and your response is limited to 700 words. For digital media responses write "digital" in the text box and use the link in the question to upload a video or audio file of no more than 5 minutes per response.
1) You are getting ready to lead a 6-person church team in learning how to brainstorm ways to engage young adults beyond the church. Describe what you would do with the team, and why.
2) You are part of church team that is trying to impact childhood obesity in your neighborhood. Your team has been given 100 volunteer hours, 50 pounds of popcorn, and $500 to do something in the next 30 days. Describe the process you would take to decide what to do and how to do it.
3) Describe one congregation in which you have been engaged. What have you loved about them? What do you wish you could change? What leadership role(s), if any, have you had?
4) Describe a time when you failed (at a task, a relationship, anything). What did you do next? What came of it?
