Fundraising Benchmarks is designed to provide the UK charity sector with robust, objective annual benchmarks of the performance of each major area of fundraising.
All responses are anonymised and the report will contain summary data only.
The survey is designed to be thorough but simple to complete. It should take about 30 minutes.
You will need to gather information in advance to complete the survey. You will need:
Details of income and expenditure for each fundraising area for the last financial year
Numbers of staff (full time equivalent) in each area of fundraising
High value giving. Number of gifts and donors in each area (trusts, major donors, corporates, statutory) last financial year
Legacies. Number of gifts, notifications and pledges
In memory. Number of donors
Individual giving. Number of cash and regular donors at the end of the last financial year. Number of new donors recruited by channel last year. Number of donors mailed/emailed and gifts made.
Events & community. Number of donors
Lottery & raffle. No of lottery players and raffle donors
