This survey is being carried out in the context of the EARMA Professional Development and Recognition Committee (PDRC) by an international team of RMAs from Italy, Cyprus, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal and Spain and is aimed at RMAs.

For the purpose of this survey we aim at providing an overview on RMAs’ training initiatives and needs of the Research Managers and Administrators (RMA) in Europe and beyond, in order to provide inputs for high quality training for RMAs.

A series of week long retreats (one unit per trimester/semester) at an appropriate training camp, including daily lectures, interaction with the trainer and time to prepare the assignment.

A week long intensive training, (all lectures given within that week) at an appropriate training camp, followed by a flexible submission schedule for the assignments.

Current structure of the CRM ( a series of workshops over two years: https://www.earma.org/earma-academy/certificate-in-research-management/ )

A paced MOOC-type training (one premrecorded lecture made available every three months, and assignments expected to be submitted within three months from the lecture)
