Thematic Working Group on Medicines in Health Systems: Survey to Express Interest and Suggest Activities

The Health Systems Global (HSG) leadership has approved the Thematic Working Group (TWG) on Medicines in Health Systems.

The TWG on Medicines in Health Systems is envisioned as a multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional network of professionals dedicated to improving medicines situations, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Members would share experiences and collaborate to generate evidence to improve medicines availability, access, affordability, and appropriate use. Any aspects of medicines in health systems could be of interest to TWG members and become the focus of TWG activities. Collaborative activities could entail teaching, research, advocacy, and others.

The purpose of this survey is to identify colleagues who are interested in playing an active role in the TWG on Medicines in Health Systems and to collect their feedback on proposed foci and activities of the TWG. Founding members of the TWG will summarize survey responses and host a discussion for interested colleagues at the Third Global Symposium on Health Systems Research in Cape Town in October 2014 and a webinar following the Symposium to define TWG activities.
