Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts on disability access and inclusion in County Wicklow.
This 15 minute questionnaire is part of a consultation series to develop a strategy that will move us closer to meeting our obligations under the County Wicklow County Development Plan and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This convention notes that people with Disabilities have the right to access all aspects of society on an equal basis with others including the physical environment, transportation, information and communications, and other facilities and services provided to the public.
The following questions assist us to identify the areas of access and inclusion that are working, feel free to acknowledge places, people or events that are positive for inclusion and accessibility, and where further change or improvement is required in County Wicklow.
We appreciate that you may not be able to answer every one of the questions so please focus on the ones that you have knowledge and experience about.
Please note that this strategic planning process only includes Wicklow County Council's areas of responsibility and hence health service provision is not part of this consultation process or strategy.
