Tongass National Forest Plan Revision

Feedback Form

Spruce Root is supporting the engagement process for the Tongass National Forest Plan Revision so that all Southeast Alaska communities and voices will be well represented in the data collected that will inform the revision. All responses will be shared directly with the USDA Forest Service as part of the community engagement period. The USDA Forest Service welcomes your knowledge and observations of Forest conditions and trends. Your information may be used in a variety of ways, for example:

  • All observations, perceptions and trends on existing conditions will be routed to the appropriate specialist for consideration and/or incorporation.
  • Heavily detail-oriented or site-specific information will be considered within the relevance of broader assessment findings.
  • Feelings and opinions will not be directly applicable to the Assessment. Where applicable, interests will be incorporated into developing the Plan.

We will have many additional opportunities for feedback, submissions and formalized comments as well. All comments are part of the public record. Your input is important to the Forest Plan Revision Team. Comments are welcome at any time, although comments received by May 2024 will be most helpful as we prepare the Assessment of Existing Conditions. Comments may also be pertinent to additional planning phases as we develop the Plan.

Public meeting information, opt-in electronic updates & other information can be found on the Tongass Plan Revision webpage.
