The Public Safety Education section of the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management (OFMEM) is offering a one-day training session for fire department representatives called “Not Your Same Old 'Seniors': How to Develop a Seniors Program in Your Community Considering the Trends and Lifestyles of Today’s Older Adults.” Experts from Environics Analytics will provide insight into the lifestyles of active older adults, baby boomer seniors, homebound seniors and the changing demographics within these populations. A selection of Ontario fire departments will share their experiences and unique ideas working with this demographic.
When: Wednesday, February 27, 2019; 9:00am to 3pm
Where: Ontario Coroner’s Complex, 25 Morton Shulman Avenue, Toronto, ON (Hwy 401 and Keele Street)
Cost: Registration is free. Lunch will be provided. Attendees will pay for parking only.
