Roadside Memorials: Altars, Shrines and Grottos of the Dearly Departed

This is our first book in a series of books we are planning on roadside memorials and pilgrimage sights around the world. Most people with roadside memorials were killed at the spot where the memorial is located. Other grottos and shrines can be found connected to folk saints or legends that mark the living history of our respective countries. We are inviting anyone who has photographs of such memorial sites and customs to submit them for consideration to the book. Each contributor will be credited for their submission and will retain the copyrights of their individual works. We want the stories, we need the images and you can help us get both.
