The Cranford Equity and Inclusivity Initiative invites you to participate in one or more of our virtual 'Action Planning Sessions', which will address specific goals of on the following dates:
November 15 (7:00-9:00PM)
Goal 1: Improve communication methods in order to reach all segments of the community to increase community engagement.
November 29 (7:00-(9:00PM)
Goal 2: Create programs and activities that encourage inclusivity, acceptance and interaction and reduce acts of bias and intolerance in the local and extended community. This includes holding collaborative and educational community events that promote respect for other religions, languages, and cultures where all members of the community can communicate, collaborate, and learn from one another. The community acknowledges and values diversity, and creates an atmosphere which educates all members of the community.
November 30 (7:00-9:00PM)
Goal 3: Establish greater diversity in the community workforce both in the public and private sectors.
December 8 (7:00-9:00PM)
Goal 4: Public perception indicates that the police do more than just enforce the law; they fairly and respectfully protect and serve the entire community. As part of this goal, the police department seeks to increase police calls for service that result in referrals to community programs rather than, or in addition to, placement into the criminal justice system.
December 9 (7:00-9:00PM)
Goal 5: Cranford is a community where all people feel safe and welcomed.
