What is Philanthropy Day?

A program of the Idaho Nonprofit Center, this November celebration aims to uplift the importance and power of the nonprofit sector in Idaho. It will highlight exceptional community stories in order to encourage and inspire more Idahoans to give their time, talent, and treasure back to nonprofits in their local community.

Where we need your help: we are asking our partners (that's you!) to let us know about powerful examples of philanthropic work and nonprofit excellence that you have seen in the communities where you work. Below you will find descriptions of each award category and instructions on how to submit a nominee.

The best nominations will be stories that are highly relatable to the general public — that is, stories that show examples of organizations, volunteers, donors, etc. going above and beyond to do something extraordinary in their community.

Nominations close August, 2025.
