The pilot would start at Level 1, focusing on children ages 3-8 (K-2nd Grade). The course is intended to equip parents with resources, tools, and learning practices to supplement the traditional education/classroom. It will meet once a month for 90 minutes. Parents will then take the learning materials home to implement with your child.
The Learning Program is a big investment for the organization. The DSFA is incurring the majority of the cost (around 70%), reducing the cost per family to only $60 for the 4 month pilot program, which will run August 2016 to November 2016. To complete the full 10 month program, a balance of $90 will be owed, resulting in a total investment of only $150 per family. Scholarships may be available.
