Relational Approaches Funding: Application Form March 2024 (Selby Locality Board)

The board are keen to support schools to utilise relational approaches. This fund can be used whether a school is starting to use a relational approach or they are wanting to help embed the use of the approach in their school. At the end of the summer term the board will review the interest that schools have shown and will decide the appropriate funding, but please assume that £3,000 will be the absolute maximum available.

* 10. Your Key Performance Indicators: Selby Locality Board's funding is public money and therefore they need to show whether this was a good use of public funds. Which KPIs you would be able to evidence, please select a minimum of 2. Use the Comments box to include any amendments you would like to make to your KPIs.

Staff Training: 80% of staff trained felt that they would improve their practice as a result of the Relational Approach training.

Positive Relationships: 24 months after starting the staff training the majority of parents/carers of children previously struggling with behaviour felt that relationships between them and their child or young person had improved as well as their relationship with school staff.

Behaviour Incidents: 24 months after starting the whole school approach, there will be a reduction in behaviour incidents.

Reduction in Suspensions: 24 months after starting the training the school recorded a reduction in suspensions.

Attendance: 24 months after starting the training, school recorded an increase in attendance.
