Register for the Motueka River Restoration Volunteers |
- Extending and enhancing native forest and bush ecosystems is key to the long term health of the Motueka Catchment and its beautiful rivers.
We need volunteers to help:
- weed in native bush areas
- trap animal predators.
- plant native trees along riparian areas and other areas of the catchment
- Weed around new plantings
- Help support at events such as with catering and set up
- Build traps
- run trap lines
The MCC has a number of upcoming weeding and planting projects and we need your help!!
Please register your details at the link to become part of the MCC Nature Volunteers!! You don't need to live within the Motueka catchment, you just need to care about about beautiful Taiao (environment) and hapori (community).
Once you register, you will be entered onto a volunteer list. We will then let you know about upcoming opportunities. We aim to have several opportunities coming up in the next few months so we'll let you know. These might be to help other members of the community to bring their restoration project to reality, or might be related to restoring a piece of publically owned land.
