Welcome to the 2022 Testing in DevOps survey, our annual exploration of the trends and technologies transforming software testing. The 2022 survey explores the impact of software testing on customer happiness, DevOps adoption, maturity with automation, and business performance. It’s designed to assess what matters most as we navigate the evolution of testing in software development. 
 
Our 2021 report discovered that quality engineering - continuous testing performed in a culture of quality - was strongly correlated with a mature DevOps practice. The stronger the testing strategy, the better the overall software organization performs and the better product experience is, which leads to higher customer satisfaction.
