2021 Workforce Survey

Thank you for taking the time to respond to the 2021 Northern Virginia Workforce Index Employer Survey.

This survey is designed to be completed in 15-20 minutes. Any information you provide is completely anonymous and will only be presented in aggregate with other responses.

If you are unable to complete the survey in one session, your answers will be saved, and you can return to the last page of the survey you visited by clicking on the link provided.

The following questions concern your business’ workforce, including the topics of recruitment, hiring, and retention; training and professional development; and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The questions are designed to be answered easily and quickly; however, some may require consultation with other staff.

Those in either an executive/leadership or human resources management role are likely best equipped to provide responses—if necessary, please forward this survey to the most appropriate respondent.

For this survey, Northern Virginia is defined as the nine Commonwealth jurisdictions closest to Washington D.C., including Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William counties, as well as the independent cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, and Manassas Park.
