Thank you for your interest in submitting a seminar proposal for ABYC's Sur/Tech, a hybrid event scheduled for February 19-20, 2025. Sur/Tech is dedicated to delivering high-quality continuing education and technical training to the marine industry. In 2023, nearly 300 participants, including manufacturers, surveyors, installers, repair technicians, engineers, consultants, and educators, attended the event.
Please submit your proposal through this form only, as emailed seminar information or attachments will not be considered. If submitting multiple proposals, please use a separate form for each. Only one proposal is allowed per submission.
ABYC is currently seeking proposals on the following topics:
  • Accident investigations
  • Legal case studies
  • Manufacturer liability
  • Expert witness experiences
  • Insurance panel discussion
  • Fire and accident prevention
  • Upgrading wiring and charging systems in older boats
  • Fire extinguishing and alarm systems
  • Lithium battery installation to ABYC standards
  • Solar charging design and application
  • Fuel system inspection and testing
