POSTER PRESENTATIONS - NO LONGER ACCEPTING - Capacity full
-Dental students and practitioners are eligible to present a Poster.
-Posters Presentations will be on display Thursday, November 6 through Saturday, November 8. A panel of judges will evaluate each Poster Presentation.
-First, second and third place winners will receive cash prizes.
-AAID will supply the tack (poster) board and pushpins.
-Poster Presentations are typically a report of research or an innovative approach. Poster Session presenters place materials such as pictures, data, graphs, diagrams and narrative text on a 8 feet long x 4 feet high tack board.
-The poster can be assembled Thursday, November 6 before 9:30 am so that it is ready for display at the first refreshment break. Presenters will be designated a number for judging purposes. The poster can be removed on Saturday morning between 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Any poster not removed by 1:00 pm will be discarded.
TABLE CLINICS -NO LONGER ACCEPTING – Capacity full
-Dental students and practitioners are eligible to present a Table Clinic.
-Table Clinics will be offered during the 60-minute refreshment break on the afternoon of Friday, November 7.
-First, second and third-place Table Clinics will receive cash prizes.
-A Table Clinic typically consists of an eight-minute presentation supported by information on the presenter’s laptop computer. The audience stands around the table to hear the presenter. It is important that the presentation is limited to ten minutes so that the audience members can hear as many presentations as possible.
-AAID will provide a small, high table on which the presenter may place a laptop. Table Clinic presenters must bring their own laptops. Because of the danger of audience members tripping on unsecured power cords, we cannot guarantee that we can provide electrical hookup so please be prepared for your laptop to use battery power.
-Presenters MUST limit materials to those that will fit (along with a computer) on the 30-inch table top.
ABSTRACTS- NO LONGER ACCEPTING - Capacity full
- Abstracts are 15 minute presentations selected by the Annual Meeting committee. Up to 12 Abstract presentations will be selected for presentation on Friday, November 7 from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
- Dental Students and practitioners are eligible to present an Abstract Session
- First, second and third-place Abstract Presenters will receive cash prizes.
- Abstract Presentations are typically a lecture report of research or of an innovative approach supported by scientific evidence.
- The Abstract Presentations will take place as one of ten concurrent sessions in a lecture hall (Room TBD). AAID will supply the Audio-Visuals consisting of a projector, screen and microphone. Each presenter MUST bring his or her own computer.
Presentation Abstract (limited to 300 words)
A Table Clinic, Poster Presentation or Abstract Presentation description (abstract) usually consists of the following components:
-Descriptive Title
-Introduction (A statement of the purpose of the study, a brief statement of the problem, and all relevant background information for example historical perspective of the topic)
-Summary
-Material and methods (The instruments utilized to develop the study)
-Results
-Conclusion (Please include any clinical relevance)
-Bibliography (Cite the references in the following format)
