Fair Head Bunkhouse Questionnaire |
1. Fair Head Bunkhouse Questionnaire
The Countryside Access and Activities Network (CAAN) in partnership with Mountaineering Ireland (MI) are currently working with a local farmer at Fair Head to develop a bunk house (10 minutes walk from the cliffs) for the climbing and outdoor recreation community. The farmer already provides a car park and allows informal camping on his land.
The bunkhouse will see the restoration of a series of old stone buildings, better known as a ‘clachan’, to provide accommodation including a lounge, kitchen, sleeping area for 16 people and toilets and showers. There will be separate toilets and showers for campers and a small store for equipment.
We are currently trying to determine whether or not the proposal to develop the bunk house is a viable proposition and in order to do so, we need to gauge the level of usage that the bunk house would receive if it existed.
Both CAAN and MI would greatly appreciate it, if you could take the time to answer the following 15 short questions. It will take less than 5 minutes of your time.
Please note: we are interested in receiving realistic user numbers only - please don’t inflate your usage figures of the bunkhouse.
