The following survey was developed by the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), a program of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), to measure global competence skills of 15 year old students as well as educators and parents among education systems around the world.
Global competence is the capacity to examine local, global and intercultural issues, to understand and appreciate the perspectives and world views of others, to engage in open, appropriate and effective interactions with people from different cultures, and to act for collective well-being and sustainable development.
During the 2018-2019 academic year, the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth is partnering with the World Affairs Councils of America network to collect global competence data across the United States.
This survey is a self-assessment, meaning there are no wrong answers, so respondents should answer honestly based on their personal experiences. This assessment is free of charge and should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.
