Community Consultation: The possible amalgamation of St. Jerome Elementary and St. Nicholas Junior High School to a new K to 9 school located on the St. Jerome School site
During the December 11, 2018 Board meeting, the Edmonton Catholic School District (ECSD) Board of Trustees approved a motion for the commencement of a public engagement process to consider the possible amalgamation of the St. Jerome Elementary School and St. Nicholas Junior High School communities. A newly constructed K-9 school would be proposed for the current St. Jerome Elementary School property and included on the next Capital Plan.
Over the next several months, with the help from the communities of Beverly and Rundle Heights, the Edmonton Catholic School District will begin to explore additional possibilities to reduce costs, increase overall utilization and maximize 21st century learning environments.
