Who we are: The Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Securities (DOS) administers and enforces the Ohio Securities Act. The Division licenses broker-dealers, securities salespersons, investment advisers, investment adviser representatives and investment officers. The Division also registers securities offered for sale to Ohioans.
Our mission in supporting the fight against the opioid epidemic: The opioid epidemic has had detrimental social, physical, and financial impact on Ohioans. Aligned with statewide efforts to address the opioid epidemic, DOS is committed to understanding the experiences and impacts of the epidemic to provide financial advisers and their clients evidenced-based best practices and resources to mitigate the hardships it has caused.
What is asked of you: As a financial adviser serving Ohioans, you are being asked to complete a survey about your experiences working with clients impacted by the opioid epidemic.
What the survey will ask you: The survey will ask questions about your experiences in working with clients impacted by the epidemic, resources you have used to support clients, and your desire to access resources to help clients overcome the financial hardships imposed by opioid addiction for clients and their families. The survey is estimated to take approximately 8 minutes to complete.
No personal identifying information is requested as part of this survey. Your responses are being gathered by an independent research firm, Measurement Resources Company. Individual responses will remain confidential.
At the end of the survey, you will be asked to voluntarily provide your contact information via a separate survey link if you wish to support DOS in its ongoing efforts to equip advisers with tools and resources needed to support clients impacted by opioid addiction.
