State of the Sector (School Age Childcare) Parents' Survey 2024 |
Introduction
Work is progressing on the development of the Executive’s Early Learning & Childcare Strategy for Northern Ireland alongside a review of the Minimum Standards that childcare providers are held accountable to.
Both the strategy development and review of Minimum Standards may have a direct impact on your School Age Childcare service.
This is a critical time for the sector and we want to ensure that every child has access to high quality, AFFORDABLE play-based provision that supports their holistic development.
To ensure that we have a clear understanding of both the opportunities and challenges facing the school aged childcare sector, PlayBoard (the lead body for play and play based school age childcare) in partnership with the School Age Childcare Forum is undertaking a review by seeking the views of providers, children and parents.
This is a key opportunity for YOU as a parent/carer to have your say and the effectiveness of this survey relies on YOUR participation in completing the questionnaire. We would urge you to take this opportunity to help shape the future of play-based School Age Childcare Services in Northern Ireland.
If you have any queries about this survey, please contact Katherine Lindsay Dunlop (Regional Coordinator for School Age Childcare) via email to katherine.lindsay@playboard.co.uk.
The closing date for completion of the questionnaire is Friday 4th October 2024.
Parents that respond to the survey will be included in a prize draw for a £50 voucher for Marks and Spencer.
All of the information collected is strictly confidential and will be used only for the purposes outlined above. This means that no information will be shared with any other person or organisation. All data will be held securely and in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.
