How to respond to this consultation

1. The consultation period has been extended to 13 January 2020, from the original deadline of 27 December 2019.

2. At the end of the consultation, SHG will review the responses from stakeholders and then it intends to issue a final draft for endorsement by the Economic Development Committee, and thereafter Executive Council.

3. The consultation document is available on our webpage http://www.sainthelena.gov.sh/government/public-consultation. Stakeholders can reply to the consultation document by responding to the questions set here.

4. The response can also be sent by email to: nicole.shamier@sainthelena.gov.sh

5. Emails, or on-line responses must arrive by 5pm GMT on 13 January 2020.

6. The last part of this questionnaire is a "coversheet", where you can identify if your response needs to be treated confidentially in full, or in part, or not at all.

7. The coversheet section also includes an option to upload a single file with any supporting documents, charts, tables or other data.

8. You do not have to answer all the questions in the consultation if you do not have a view; you can also just provide a short response on just one point.

9. It would be helpful if your response could include direct answers to the questions asked in the consultation document. It would also help if you could explain why you hold your views, and what you think the effect of our proposals would be.

10. If you respond negatively to any question, please provide a reason as to why you do not agree. We may disregard your negative answer if you do not provide a reason.

11. Confidentiality. In the interest of transparency, we intend to publish the responses in full. If you think your response should be kept confidential, please specify in the comments section in the cover sheet section and specify which part(s) this applies to and explain why. Please note that we may be required to publish the answers marked as confidential, in order to meet legal obligations.
