Public Transit Service in Southern Georgia Region
  • Public transit is defined as transit that is available to all people and for any purpose.
  • In rural areas of the region, demand-response transit is provided by SGRC Transit. Currently, residents in 15 of the 18 counties in Southern Georgia have access to SGRC Transit. To use this service, reservations must be made in advance. The service is curb-to-curb. Clinch, Echols, and Lanier counties do not participate in the regional transit partnership.
  • Within the City of Valdosta, urban transit service is available through Valdosta On-Demand and can be booked in real-time through the Via mobile application.
