Who should attend: Individuals with job roles and responsibilities associated with or who have an interest in coach education, coach support and/or coach development. Additionally, individuals should have an interest in learning more about innovative approaches to support coach education models and the evolving role of the coach developer.
Pre-requisite: Submission of the Shifting Mindset application and completion of the Coaching Education Overview program or approval by the USCCE
The Shifting Mindset: Moving from Coach to Coach Developer workshop is an engaging 2 day (3 hours/day) virtual program. It is designed for individuals who work within coach education and coach development settings and who work with, or oversee, sport coaches or individuals interested in exploring entering into this field.
Participants in the workshop will have an opportunity to explore the foundations of learning as they apply to coaching education and coach development. Essential principles of learning facilitation and adult learning design will be discussed with a goal of supporting a shared language within the coach development community, grounded in evidence-based practices in education.
Across both days, each of the sessions will provide opportunities for participants to explore practical application of the concepts within their current coaching education work and to network and engage with others in the workshop.
This workshop is facilitated by experienced coach developers who work across a variety of sport organizational settings. This virtual interactive event strives to maintain a 6:1 participant to facilitator ratio. Participants will receive a certificate of completion.
Application Process: Applications must be received the date specified. Late applications will only be considered on a case by case basis. Application to the workshop does not guarantee acceptance. If accepted, participants will be required to pay the program invoice within 1 week to secure their spot.

* Applicants accepted after the deadline and/or once program is full will have the option of signing up for the next available program as well as being placed on the wait list for the current program..
* Individuals in the 3 day USCCE Teaching, Learning & Facilitation workshop should apply for that program. Individuals accepted into the 3 day live training will automatically be enrolled in a Shifting Mindset workshop as part of the preparation for the TLF program.
