1. About Share the Love

Question Title

* Share the Love is a project by Cotton Babies lending cloth diapers to families in need. Applicants must be current participants in the WIC program or other assistance programs and able to provide a photo ID and WIC certification/proof of assistance. Personal information will be kept confidential.

There is no cost to families with approved applications. Share the Love operates by distributing cloth diapers that are donated. Share the Love Host will carefully consider the preferences and needs of each family to choose cloth diapers based on donation inventory.

*Approved applicants will pick up diapers from designated Host Site location by appointment or pay for shipping and handling if a host site is not nearby. 

The purchase of accessories such as detergents, fastening devices, cloth wipes, wet bags, diaper pail etc… that may not be included with the diapers lent is the responsibility of the caregiver.

The diapers lent may be previously worn. They will be pre-washed with bleach and fully prepared for use by Share the Love Host Site prior to lending. Washing and care for the diapers for the duration of use is the responsibility of the caregiver via washing machine, hand washing or Laundromat and dryer or clothesline. Full care and use instructions will be provided for your convenience.
Diapers are accepted in “as is” condition. Recipient agrees to accept responsibility to properly care for lent cloth diapers and return to Host Site, clean and dry, by their child’s third birthday. Share the Love diapers are a loan. The recipient will be charged $50 and ineligible for additional diaper loans if the diapers are not returned to the Host Site by the agreed-upon date.

By applying, applicants are agreeing to the following conditions (and without such
agreement, neither Cotton Babies nor any Host would participate in the Share the
Love program): Caregivers will accept the cloth diapers in "as is", "where is"
condition with no warranties (whether express or implied). Caregiver, on behalf of
all those who wear, use, or otherwise handle the lent cloth diapers, hereby assume
all risks arising from the cloth diapers. Caregiver hereby releases and waives all
claims and/or damages (however characterized) against Cotton Babies, each Host, and
the owners, officers, employees, and agents of any of the foregoing related in any
way to the Share the Love program and/or the cloth diapers and agrees to indemnify,
defend, and hold harmless Cotton Babies and each Host with respect thereto.
