System Challenges Survey - January 2018 |
Survey Details
As part of the Title I MI Excel Statewide System of Support (SSoS), a survey was created that examines the extent to which ‘System Challenges’ influence the effectiveness of the MI Excel SSoS. Specifically, the survey data will be used to address the following question:
What are the major system challenges and constraints that influence the effectives of the MI Excel Statewide System of Supports?
The MI Excel Statewide System of Support referred to in the survey questions as "program" is defined to include (but not necessarily limited to) the support of an Intervention Specialist, District Improvement Facilitator, School Improvement Facilitator and the use of or installation of the Surveys of Enacted Curriculum, support for the reform/redesign plan, the Blueprint for Turnaround, and the Instructional Learning Cycle/School Support Teams.
In addition to additional variables collected through other data sources (e.g., attendance and mobility files), the survey will address other variables related to successful implementation and impact (McIntosh, Filter, Bennett, Ryan, & Sugai, 2010).

The survey will be completed semiannually (i.e., twice per year) by MI Excel program consultants delivering the program at the district level. Consultants will complete the survey once during the fall (November) and once during the spring (May) as part of monthly fidelity monitoring.
This survey will be sent to district consultants via email semiannually according to the schedule outlined above.
Directions: It is intended that the survey be completed by either the Intervention Specialist or District Improvement Facilitator assigned to provide support to the district. Surveys are to be completed only for districts who are currently receiving MI Excel surveys either as a currently identified school or district and those who have chosen to receive transition services. Released districts who have chosen not to receive MI Excel services should not be included in this survey activity. Consultants will complete this survey once for each district to which they are assigned to serve as either an IS or DIF. Please answer all of the questions below.
