Displacement in Associative Remote Viewing and/or other parapsychology experiments - a survey of remote viewers, project managers, parapsychologists and judges/analysts |
Participant Agreement & Instructions
WHO MAY RESPOND TO THIS SURVEY
This survey is specifically for remote viewers, remote viewing project managers, formal parapsychological and psychical researchers, and judges/analysts/statisticians who have experience participating in repeated ARV or parapsychological trials.
If you are an intuitive reader/clairvoyant/medium who works directly with reading clients but who hasn't participated in the types of trials defined above (those using photos or objects), we may poll you in a future study, but for now, we will ask you not to participate here simply so we can narrow our focus.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this survey is to formally document, in a scientific manner, the extent of observed displacement effects in either associative remote viewing projects/and or other parapsychological experiments that utilize a set of photos for purposes of analysis. We are open to the possibility that such effects are not an issue so please respond honestly, openly and per your own lived experience.
In completing this short survey, you acknowledge you are participating in this project per your own free will and that your responses will remain anonymous.
Your responses will be included in a study examining the prevalence of psi displacement effects - defined as giving an extremely accurate and detailed description of the wrong photo (or another target type such as object, video, etc) within a psi-based (i.e. ARV or Dream ESP) trial or providing a highly detailed description of the wrong photo within a consecutive series of trials.
Please note: Displacement is not simply about failing to describe the target at all or well, or just finding anything that your psi-based impressions may have matched so you can feel good about being a psychic, but rather having an excellent match to a very specific photo, or to elements within that photo, that comprise the judging set. An average match to another photo in the set or sequence should not be considered displacement, but only an excellent, undeniable match to the wrong target, involving unique elements.
Participant Agreement
This is an anonymous survey. Your responses will not be connected with identifying data. The survey will be placed within an article that will be submitted to a scientific, peer-reviewed journal.
If you agree to the above, whether or not it appears that you have encountered examples of displacement, please continue on to the questions.
Again, please only take the survey if you have participated in repeated psi-based trials for Associative Remote Vieiwng or other parapsychological experiments.
Please note: When responding to questions - please really try to respond based ONLY on your own personal experience and not on what other experts (such as teachers, authors, researchers, have told you).
If you have questions or concerns about this survey please direct them to the lead researcher at dkatz@irva.org.
