About our survey

PLEASE NOTE You can complete this survey more than once if you wish to share feedback about more than one bereavement experience.

Welcome to our partnership survey about bereavement support within our community networks and from services across South West London.

NHS South West London commissioned Healthwatch Kingston and Kingston Voluntary Action to undertake a SWL community engagement pilot project in Kingston about people’s experience of bereavement services and support, with a focus on the needs of minoritised communities. This Kingston focused bereavement community engagement pilot culminated in a report with recommendations which supported South West London’s programme aim to: ‘Improve awareness of, access to and quality of bereavement services and support for underserved communities’.

Healthwatch Kingston is working collaboratively with Kingston Voluntary Action to deliver the second phase of this engagement with the South West London Bereavement Think Tank. Our aim is to better understand the needs of people who are affected by bereavement. This survey is designed to be inclusive of all kinds of loss; for example, expected or sudden deaths, miscarriages or death of children and young people, and end-of-life care. It is relevant to anyone affected by a bereavement or supporting someone through grief. We are keen to learn about your views and experiences.

Healthwatch Kingston is your health and social care champion. We make sure NHS leaders and other decision makers hear your voice and use your feedback to improve care.

Kingston Voluntary Action is the infrastructure and umbrella organisation for voluntary and community organisations in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
