| We understand that everyone’s writing experiences and confidence levels are different, so to give you the most control and choice over your freshman writing course(s), we ask that you complete this guided self-placement survey. In this survey, you’ll answer simple questions about your past writing experiences, your skills in writing and reading, and your extracurricular activities and personal obligations. Based on your responses, you will be guided to one of SVSU's writing courses. This guidance, however, is only a suggestion based on your responses. The choice to change your English course placement is entirely up to you. At the end of the survey, if you wish to change your English course placement, please contact an Advisor in the Academic Advisement Center. |
