The goal is to solve our transportation challenge. There will no longer be a bus provided by the Blaine County School District for chair lift-serviced programs, and we feel a strong imperative to maintain/improve this offering for SVSEF families. There are costs associated with running a bus, and we have had measurable success within our XC program’s adoption of this strategy. This survey is designed to help us get a sense of the demand as we model out the costs of the program and set realistic figures for families enrolled in Baldy and Rotarun based programs. Our goal is to purchase the bus through funds donated by staff and advocates, and then charge a fee to riders to cover the incremental operational costs. We do not know what these costs are yet, but are working to nail down the numbers. Of course, the more participation we have, the more affordable it becomes for all.
