Domestic Abuse Policy - your thoughts & feedback

We have just eight questions to ask you. A few of our questions start with a statement - and we want to know if you think our policy reflects this statement.

As well as reading the policy, this should take around 10 minutes to complete.

1.The policy must be written in such a way that it invites, empowers, and enables victims/survivors to disclose their experiences, safe in the knowledge they will be believed, validated, and supported to make choices. Policies should be clear, concise, and accessible to all.

In your opinion, does the policy reflect this?
2.The policy must be domestic abuse aware and guarantee that victims/survivors of abuse will receive an effective response, first time, every time.

In your opinion, does the policy reflect this?
3.The policy must show that the Trust will do whatever it can to enable a victim/survivor to disclose abuse in the knowledge that they will be believed, empowered to make choices that work for them (person-centered), and supported to be safe through an effective multi-agency response.

In your opinion, does the policy reflect this?
4.The policy must show how the Trust will hold perpetrators of abuse to account for their behaviour through actions, language, and behaviours.

In your opinion, does the policy reflect this?
5.As a customer, do you feel the policy is clear and explains what you could expect as a customer suffering abuse and do you feel assured by the policy?
6.Where would you expect to see domestic abuse support, information or the policy?
7.As a customer is there anything else you feel we need to consider or add to the policy?
